Duties
- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures with precision and care
- Preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and ensuring all equipment is ready for use
- Providing excellent patient care, including explaining procedures and offering reassurance
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining confidentiality
- Supporting patients through the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring comfort and satisfaction
- Adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control standards
- Organising appointment schedules efficiently to optimise practice workflow
- Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues, and suppliers to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse in a private practice setting is preferred
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Familiarity with IT systems used in dental practices for record keeping and scheduling
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations within dental environments
- Previous experience in nursing or healthcare roles will be advantageous but not essential for newly qualified candidates willing to learn
