JOB TITLE: Security Ambassador
LOCATION: Birmingham / Midlands area
PAY RATE: £14.00 per hour
HOURS: 40 hrs per week
THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about public safety and customer service? We are looking for a dedicated Security Ambassador who will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and welfare, across the Midlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrol sites to ensure safety and welfare.
- Support Managers in managing staff.
- Assist with customer inquiries and provide visible reassurance to the public.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns and offer support to vulnerable individuals.
- Provide security to various sites including unlock and lock up of offices
- Sign in staff, visitors and contractors, ensuring correct PPE for the depots is being worn
- Support by covering sites as needed.
- Collaborate with rail staff, British Transport Police, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, confident approach to handling challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Full training provided.
LICENCES:
- You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Access to own transport is essential – public transport may not be available depending on shift times.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:
Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
