Medusa Stonemasonry is a leading UK specialist in Natural Stone supply, Manufacture, and installation for heritage, commercial, and high-end residential projects.
We are looking for a reliable, confident factory operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a production-based role working in a busy shop floor environment.
Your duties will include:
- Learn and operate the in-house machinery for stone processing
- Programming, operation and maintenance of the machines
- Setting up and operation of power-driven circular saws
- Undertake regular checks on machinery and work areas, documenting the completion of checks and report defects in accordance with safe working practices
- Learn about various materials, the workshop processes into finished masonry items
- Following drawings and working to targets
- Simple quality checking and measuring
- Handling and assembly material
- Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the site, ensuring that working areas are kept safe and organised in line with safe working procedures, equipment is kept clean and tidy to a high standard
Required skills:
- Previous experience within a factory production/assembly environment/stone industry would be helpful but not essential as full training will be provided
- Comfortable using power tools and measuring instruments
- An outgoing, confident person who can think on their feet
