Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist in resolving any operational issues promptly to minimise disruptions
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Experience working in cafes or similar hospitality settings is necessary
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management
