Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimise our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in logistics systems and process improvement to contribute to the efficiency of our operations. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with experience in supply chain management, warehouse experience, and data analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to optimise freight costs and service levels.
- Analyse supply chain data to identify process improvements and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency.
- Supervise the utilisation of forklifts and other materials handling equipment, ensuring safe operation at all times. (Training provided).
- Assist in the development of logistics procedures and policies to streamline operations across departments.
- Deal with ordering goods and ensuring receipt on time
Requirements
- Experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, materials handling, picking & packing.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Analytical mindset with strong data analysis skills to interpret complex logistics information.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in logistics or supply chain management are desirable but not essential.This role offers an engaging environment where your expertise will directly impact operational success through continuous process optimisation and strategic planning.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
