Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle components, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Stripping and refitting the vehicles for repair as per job cards.
- Checking Parts list whilst stripping and reporting Extra Parts to the Estimator.
- Replace parts as per job card.
- Ensure alignment of all panels.
- Checking lights/locks/electrics as per Quality Control
- Complete Quality Control at Each Stage
- Air Con Re-gas and Geometry (trained persons only)
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures during all repair activities.
- Document work performed accurately in accordance with company protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and pneumatic equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- You will ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.
Full Time 40 hours per week, Location Peterborough.
Ideally ATA or NVQ Certification would be advantageous.
Salary based on experience.
