Triangle House Nursery is looking for a friendly, caring and enthusiastic apprentice to join our lovely team and begin their journey into childcare.
If you love being around children, enjoy getting involved in play and activities, and want to learn how a busy nursery works, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
At Triangle House, no two days are the same! You could be painting, getting messy with playdough, exploring our outdoor spaces, joining in with songs and stories, helping at mealtimes or simply supporting a child as they discover something new.
You’ll learn on the job alongside experienced Early Years practitioners, while working towards your Early Years qualification. You’ll be supported throughout your apprenticeship and will gradually build the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to become a fantastic Nursery Practitioner.
What you’ll be doing
As an Early Years Apprentice, you’ll learn and develop your skills while supporting the team with:
- Caring for and supporting children throughout their nursery day.
- Joining in with children’s play and helping to create fun and engaging experiences.
- Helping children to develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
- Spending time both indoors and outdoors – including making the most of our fantastic outdoor spaces!
- Supporting daily routines such as mealtimes, sleep times and personal care.
- Building warm and positive relationships with children and their families.
- Learning how to observe and understand children’s development.
- Working alongside experienced practitioners and learning from the wider team.
- Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment.
- Following nursery policies and procedures to keep children safe and well cared for.
- Taking part in training and completing the work required as part of your apprenticeship.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to have previous nursery experience – what matters most to us is your attitude and your willingness to learn.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is caring, patient and genuinely enjoys being around children.
- Is enthusiastic and keen to learn.
- Is reliable and responsible.
- Enjoys being creative and getting involved in activities.
- Is happy to get messy, play outside and join in with children’s fun!
- Can work well as part of a team.
- Is willing to listen, learn and take on feedback.
- Has good communication skills.
- Is interested in learning about children’s development and Early Years.
- Has a positive attitude and is keen to build a career in childcare.
Previous experience working with children is a bonus, but it isn't essential.
