Job Overview
The role of Lead Art-worker/Print Operations is a key part to the success and growth of the business, in this role your knowledge and skills will support the wider team. You will be led by our Production Manager, to ensure the smooth and effective completion of works that meets the expectations and needs of the customer. This role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, creativity and the ability to work under pressure.
Your main tasks within the work day will be art-working all jobs coming into the production creating print ready files with print sheets for print operators this comes with the responsibility of working with the wider team to ensure all items are being printed and cut correctly, when fully trained you will also take the lead on running samples, colour matching and running new client samples, demonstrating creativity and the ability to manipulate artwork and print software to create the desired print finish.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Preparing print ready artwork using adobe Illustrator and In Design and Caldera rip software
· Operation of all in house printing and cutting machines when required
· Sense checking all print jobs to ensure it is fit for Production/Printing
· Ensuring all work is produced efficiently to the highest standard
· Maintaining stock levels and ordering materials for printers
· Colour matching/ Pantone matching
· Liaising with engineers for print machine maintenance
· Maintain data base of all print ready files and file accordingly in client folders
· Create print operation sheets for print and cut operators
· Work with sales and project managers on samples creating various versions for client review
· R&D creating new print finishes and print methods in down-time

Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
