CC Cousins is seeking a reliable and hardworking Drainage Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established business, supporting a variety of commercial clients across the South and East of the UK.
Working alongside an experienced Drainage Engineer, you will assist with a range of external maintenance services including jet washing, gutter clearances, and general external cleaning. This is a field-based role that offers varied work, regular travel, and opportunities to develop your skills within the facilities maintenance industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting operatives with jet washing of external surfaces, including pathways, car parks, buildings, and communal areas.
- Carrying out gutter clearances using specialist equipment.
- Supporting with general external cleaning and maintenance of commercial and residential sites.
- Operating and maintaining tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
- Assisting with site preparation, set-up, and clean-up.
- Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Following company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Travelling to various client sites across the South and East of the UK.
- Assisting with traffic management and safe working practices where required.
- Representing CC Cousins professionally whilst on client sites.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, external cleaning, property maintenance, landscaping, or a similar hands-on role is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience using pressure washing or gutter cleaning equipment would be beneficial.
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime when required.
- Keen to learn new skills and develop within the business.
