Our small family run company is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of a 7.5 tonne deliver driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, loading and unloading lorries and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. We also require you to be willing to stay out overnight on the occasions we may need you to. This will not be all week and will be the odd day here and there. Some jobs we have also require hand balling off so the the successful candidate will also have to be willing to do this. A lot of the work we have at the minute is day work multi drop stuff so if you want to apply you need to be ok doing this type of work.
Overtime is paid at time and a half after the basic 42.5 hours per week is completed

Driver responsibilities:
Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver goods to customers on time
Interact with customers in a professional manner
Work occasional evenings, weekends and nights out
Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
Load goods onto trucks making sure they are loaded in a safe a and secure manner.
Be able to plan routes from a manifest when given at certain customers
Maintain ongoing communication with Transport Manager
Unload goods as per client specifications
Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
Driver qualifications and skills:
Valid Category C Driving Licence or if you passed before 1997 and have Grandfather Rights
CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
Minimum 1 year’s experience as Delivery Driver
Maximum of 6 penalty points on License
Ability to pass company driving test, criminal background check
Good general geographical knowledge
Previous experience in multi-drop
Health and Safety aware
Strong customer service skills
Must possess a positive and professional attitude
