We are seeking a Consultant in Adult Community Mental Health Psychiatry to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Community Mental Health Team based at Hafan Hedd Community Mental Health Centre, Newcastle Emlyn.
This 10-session post offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering and shaping Adult Community Mental Health services across South Ceredigion, with flexibility to develop additional sessions aligned with sub-specialty interests.
You will contribute to the ongoing transformation of mental health services across Hywel Dda, supporting the development of flexible, responsive and integrated models of care. The role involves regular travel across the CMHT catchment area, with occasional travel to other Health Board sites and partner organisations.
You will be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, with access to a specialist Medical Education and Library service and strong academic links with Swansea and Cardiff Universities, providing opportunities for teaching, training and research.
Key responsibilities include ( but are not limited to):
Deliver Consultant-level care in Adult Community Mental Health Psychiatry across South Ceredigion
Support and develop a comprehensive community-based mental health service centred at Hafan Hedd
Provide Responsible Clinician and Consultant input for inpatient care
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, primary care and social services
Contribute to service development and ongoing transformation of mental health services
Provide clinical leadership, supervision and training to staff
Participate in teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate), audit, CPD and research activity
Travel regularly within the CMHT area and occasionally across the wider Health Board
