Custom Duct Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Duct Work Fitter’s Mate to join our skilled team. In this role, you will assist experienced duct fitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of ducting systems across various commercial and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop hands-on skills in a fast-paced trade environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support duct fitters with the preparation, assembly, and installation of ducting systems.
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in measuring, cutting, and fitting ductwork components to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on-site.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Travel to job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and readiness to work.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to various job locations in a company vehicle
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.
- Basic understanding of tools and construction practices is a plus, but not essential—full training will be provided.
- CSCS Card
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Working away (meal allowances and hotels paid for by Custom Duct Ltd plus lodge bonus for working away)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
