We are looking for two caring, enthusiastic and motivated Support Workers / Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist education setting in Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside, supporting autistic learners with a range of additional needs.

About the Role
As a Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside education staff to support learners throughout their day, helping them achieve their potential both personally and academically.
Your role will include:
- Providing personalised support to autistic learners with additional needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and personal development.
- Supporting learners with communication, social skills and emotional wellbeing.
- Helping individuals develop practical life skills and prepare for adulthood.
- Supporting learning activities, including functional skills and vocational opportunities.
- Encouraging participation in work experience, enterprise projects and community activities.
- Promoting positive behaviour, resilience and self-confidence.
- Supporting learners to develop skills that will benefit their future education, employment and adult life.
- Building positive relationships with learners, families and colleagues.
Every learner has different goals, strengths and aspirations, meaning no two days are the same. This role provides the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people and celebrate their achievements as they progress.

What We Offer
- Full-time, term-time only position.
- 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Salary paid evenly over 12 months, meaning you will continue to receive a monthly wage throughout the year, including during the school holidays in July and August.
