Your role would be to promote and enhance the physical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing of residents through the delivery of meaningful, person-centred activities and experiences. The Wellness Team Member will support residents to live fulfilling lives by facilitating engagement, maintaining community connections, and organising activities that reflect individual interests, preferences, and abilities
You’ll help write the small, meaningful chapters in someone’s story, and in return, you’ll be part of a community that values and supports you too.
Please note, that all our roles are subject to an enhanced police check (Disclosure Barring Service – DBS) before employment commences.
The role includes responsibility for safely driving the home's minibus to support resident outings, appointments, and community engagement opportunities.
This role is for 42.5 hours a week, inclusive of an unpaid break.
A full UK driving licence is required and must be eligible and able to be insured to drive the company's minibus
As a Wellness Team Member, every day is about making a real difference in the lives of our residents. You’ll get to:
- Deliver a varied programme of individual and group wellbeing activities.
- Support residents to maintain hobbies, interests, and meaningful relationships.
- Encourage participation whilst respecting individual choice and preferences.
- Promote dignity, independence, equality, and inclusion in all activities.
- Adapt activities to meet the changing physical, cognitive and emotional needs of residents.
- Work collaboratively with care teams to identify resident interests and wellbeing goals.
- Use innovative technology and software to provide positive resident experiences.
- Safely operate the home's minibus for resident outings, appointments, and events.
- Complete vehicle checks before and after use in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure residents are always transported safely and comfortably.
- Assist residents boarding and leaving the vehicle in accordance with moving and handling guidance.
- Ensure wheelchairs, mobility equipment and safety restraints are used appropriately.
- Report any vehicle defects, incidents or concerns promptly.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation, company policies, insurance requirements and driver training standards.
- Maintain any required driving records, mileage logs and vehicle documentation.
We require flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays when required.
Also require willingness to undertake minibus driver assessments and refresher training.
This role requires periods of standing, walking, setting up activity areas, supporting outings and assisting residents with mobility in accordance with training and risk assessments.
