Service Advisor – Hawkins St Stephen (near St Austell)
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at Hawkins St Stephen, near St Austell, representing our Peugeot and Citroën brands.
As the primary liaison between our customers and the dealership’s Service Department, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for understanding customers’ vehicle concerns, coordinating repair and maintenance work, and ensuring clear, consistent communication between customers and our technicians.
This role combines providing outstanding customer service along with technical awareness and a strong organisational ability. You will manage bookings, provide accurate estimates and updates, and ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction
· Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming service environment.
· Listen to customer concerns, ask clarifying questions, and document vehicle issues accurately.
· Provide clear explanations of recommended services, repair timelines, and associated costs.
· Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the service process.
· Deliver vehicles back to customers with a full explanation of completed work.
Service Coordination
· Prepare repair orders and ensure all information is accurate and complete.
· Liaise with technicians to prioritise work and ensure timely completion.
· Review technician findings and translate technical information into customer‑friendly language.
· Monitor progress of repairs and update customers proactively.
Sales & Performance
· Recommend additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle condition and manufacturer guidelines.
· Meet or exceed service department sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
· Promote dealership service packages, warranties, and special offers.
Administration & Compliance
· Process payments, invoices, and vehicle health checks accurately.
· Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
· Follow all safety, environmental, and data‑protection policies.
Skills & Qualifications
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to explain technical information in a clear, friendly way.
· Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
· Basic understanding of automotive systems (training often provided).
· Proficiency with dealership management systems Edynamix and Key Loop are advantage.
· Previous experience in automotive service, retail, or hospitality is beneficial.
