About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Sales Executive to help expand our client base and support the continued growth of our business.
The successful candidate will identify prospective clients, build strong business relationships, understand client requirements, present our services and manage opportunities through the sales process from initial enquiry to signed engagement. The role requires close collaboration with our accounting team to ensure clients receive accurate proposals and an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective business clients and commercial opportunities.
- Generate new business through telephone calls, emails, networking events, referrals and digital marketing channels.
- Arrange and conduct discovery meetings with business owners and company directors.
- Understand clients' bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, accounts, taxation and business support requirements.
- Present Complete Book Ltd's services professionally and explain their benefits.
- Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and fee calculations in collaboration with the accounting team.
- Negotiate commercial terms within agreed authority levels.
- Manage enquiries through every stage of the sales process until client engagement.
- Maintain accurate client records using the company's CRM system.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Monitor sales opportunities, conversion rates and revenue targets.
- Prepare regular sales and business development reports.
- Represent the company professionally at networking and promotional events.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and UK data protection requirements.
Essential Experience
Applicants should have at least two years' experience in one or more of the following:
- Business-to-business (B2B) sales
- Business development
- Commercial account management
- Client relationship management
- Professional services sales or a similar client-facing commercial role
Experience should include:
- Generating new business opportunities
- Conducting client meetings and discovery calls
- Preparing quotations and commercial proposals
- Negotiating commercial agreements
- Managing sales pipelines using CRM software
- Achieving sales or business development targets
Skills
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
- Commercial awareness and consultative selling skills
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills

Qualifications
Essential
- Good standard of education with strong English and numerical skills.
- A qualification in Business, Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service or a related field, or equivalent commercial experience.
Desirable
- A diploma, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or equivalent higher-education qualification.
- A qualification in business, management, sales, marketing, finance or another relevant discipline.
- A recognised professional qualification in management, leadership, sales, marketing or consulting.
- Training or certification in business development, consultative sales or CRM systems.
- A basic understanding of business structures, bookkeeping, payroll, taxation and accounting services.

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
