Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires keen observational skills, a proactive approach to security, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises, ensuring all security measures are adhered to.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
- Provide first aid assistance as required, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals on-site.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with management to enhance security protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- First aid certification is desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including nights and weekends is ideal but not essential.
