Job Summary
We are seeking an organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. This role involves working within our office in Longlands Quarry, Bridgend alongside our small team Monday-Friday, primarily managing the company's accounts, invoicing and payroll. Applicants are expected to have experience with Sage.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software - Sage.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions for accuracy
- Manage payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence management
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the team as required
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage / Sage 50
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record management
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or administrative roles is essential
Pay: From £16.50 per hour
