Senior Support Worker
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Workers to join our friendly and committed team across our residential homes in Alvaston, Derby.
This role involves supporting adults with mental health diagnoses and a history of substance misuse within a residential care environment. Applicants must have relevant experience and a strong understanding of mental health and substance misuse support.
Contract Details
- Pay Rate: Start from £1300-£13.80
- Shift Pattern: Flexible – days, nights, or a combination of both
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and protect the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of service users
- Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports, and required documentation
- Monitor service users’ wellbeing and report any concerns promptly
- Identify and report health and safety issues
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health professionals to support therapeutic care
- Assist with medication administration where appropriate
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Carry out any additional reasonable duties required to support the service
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 5’ experience in a residential care setting (essential)
- Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and substance misuse histories
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Transferable DBS
