We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 and 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our new nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s early learning experiences. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and social skills
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s curiosity and independence
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Support children's emotional needs through effective communication and reassurance
- Follow our nurseries policies and procedures at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's development and behaviour and create exceptional parent partnership
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Level 3 or above
- Paediatric first aid trained desired
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
