Duties
- Assist the instructor with preparing sewing materials, tools, and equipment before each class
- Support students during sewing activities, providing guidance on techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including fabric storage and sewing stations
- Monitor class progress, ensuring all students follow instructions and stay on task
- Help troubleshoot sewing machine issues and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Encourage a positive learning environment by fostering creativity and confidence among participants
- Support inventory management of sewing supplies, including fabric, thread, needles, and other materials
Prior
- Strong sewing skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques and assist students effectively
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and safety guidelines
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring others to develop their sewing talents
- Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting sewing machines
- Reliable team player with a proactive attitude eager to support both the instructor and students

Pay: £8.00-£24.80 per hour
