Junior Gardener.
The Potting Sheds Gardening is a gardening business with a strong focus on design and horticultural knowledge. This role will be part of a team delivering garden maintenance programmes in private and commercial gardens to a high standard. It will include maintaining lawns, plant care and maintaining herbaceous borders, shrubs and some element of basic tree work.
Key responsibilities will be:
· Delivering high quality garden maintenance and soft landscaping as required.
· Lawn care including mowing, strimming, edging with shears, scarifying and application of weed and feed.
· Plant care including pruning, shrub reductions, training climbing plants and feeding.
· General maintenance of herbaceous borders including diligent weeding, turning the soil and applying mulch.
· Maintaining a tidy work van and workplace with the rest of the team.
· Responsible for maintaining work tools and machinery.
· Communicate effectively with the other team members to organise workload.
· Communicate appropriately with clients and ensuring that messages and specific requests are passed on to the office.
· You will be responsible for ensuring that the company standards are met and work is delivered in a timely and professional way.
· You must complete the relevant paperwork and diary work accurately and in a timely manner.
This will require you to have:
- Some knowledge of gardening techniques (and the enthusiasm to learn)
- Some knowledge of plant and flower care techniques (and the enthusiasm to learn)
- Ability to use professional mowing, trimming and pruning equipment
- Precision and attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Health and physical fitness
- Strong manual skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in all-weather conditions

Relevant training will be provided during your employment.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
