This is a newly developed role within the business, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring Health, Safety and Environmental systems across UK sites, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 requirements while promoting a positive safety culture. Working with the Leadership Team giving guidance and support where necessary, in particular with the QA Manager and Head of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
General Health & Safety

Develop, implement, and monitor Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments

Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and industry best practice

Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions

Deliver and coordinate H&S training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
-
Promote a proactive safety culture across workshops and offices
Environmental Management

Manage environmental compliance and best practices relevant to metal fabrication operations

Identify and reduce environmental risks, waste, and energy usage

Support environmental reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Advise senior management on Health & Safety risks, and improvement opportunities

Prepare and present H & S KPIs and management review data

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in relation to safety, and operational efficiency
Key Skills and Competencies:

Proven experience in a HSE role within manufacturing or metal fabrication

Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation

Experience leading audits and managing corrective actions

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability
Desirable

Experience with welding, fabrication, or heavy engineering environments

NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
