Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on children's development. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about early years education and childcare.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental needs in line with the early years curriculum.
- Provide high standards of care, ensuring the safety, well-being, and emotional security of all children.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and behavioural observations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
- Organise daily routines including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods to ensure a balanced approach to learning and care.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and statutory requirements.
- Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies that promote positive behaviour.
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and events that enhance children’s learning experiences.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in managing daily nursery operations is desirable.
- Full clean dbs required. Be on or willing to join the update dbs service.
- Full valid pediatrics first aid.
- Level 3 qualified
