Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles, to deliver food orders promptly.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and local maps to reach delivery destinations accurately.
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm delivery details and provide excellent service.
- Inspect delivery vehicles regularly, maintaining mechanical readiness and reporting any issues promptly.
- Load and unload deliveries at warehouses or restaurants, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, preferably with food or warehouse deliveries.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with flatbed trucks or warehouse environments is a plus.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices confidently and efficiently.
- Prior experience as a <PERSON> driver or in delivery driver roles is advantageous but not required.
