About the Role
Check Communications Ltd are looking for an experienced Comms Cabling Engineer / Structured Cabling Technician to join our growing installation team.
This is a hands-on role working across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, installing and maintaining structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fibre), CCTV systems, and telecoms infrastructure.
No two days are the same — you could be diagnosing a phone system fault one day and working at height using access equipment the next.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fibre)
- Working on CCTV systems and telecoms infrastructure
- Cable installation, termination, and basic testing
- Working across commercial and industrial environments
- Ensuring all work meets high professional standards
- Supporting fault finding via the service desk when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in structured cabling, telecoms, or CCTV installation
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and professionalism on-site
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Full UK driving license
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Ideally the candidate will already have an existing DBS check valid from the last 3years.
Desirable Skills
- IPAF licence
- Fibre installation and termination experience
- ECS / CSCS card

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
