Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on attention to detail and reliability. The position is ideal for those with previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience who take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness. This role will include cover for laundry staff when needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces within commercial environments
- Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas are kept hygienic and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards to management
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, including carpet cleaning or window washing
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or care home cleaning is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to company policies and procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts during weekdays or weekends as required
Pay: £12.75 per hour
