We’re looking for an experienced Master Mechanic to take the lead on all mechanical work in our workshop.
Pay - Competitive — DOE, plus bonus
You’ll be responsible for getting our used vehicles ready for sale, from diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to servicing, MOT preparation and final checks. We work to a quick turnaround, so we need someone who can work efficiently without cutting corners and who takes real pride in the quality and safety of their work.
You’ll be working on a wide range of vehicles, from everyday cars to high-end German models, so strong mechanical knowledge and confident diagnostic ability are essential. This is a hands-on position with real responsibility for ensuring every vehicle leaving the workshop is genuinely retail-ready.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues across various makes and models
- Service, repair and prepare vehicles to a high retail standard
- Carry out MOT preparation and repair any failures or advisories
- Road-test vehicles before and after repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts fitted
- Identify and report any safety, mechanical or financial concerns with vehicles
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- NVQ Level 3 qualified, time-served mechanic or equivalent experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Comfortable working on modern vehicles and electronic systems
- Experience working across a variety of makes and models
- Own tools
- Full UK driving licence
- MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage
- Reliable, honest and methodical approach to work
- High standards and genuine pride in the quality of your work
Pay: £15,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
