Martino's Restaurant is looking for a professional, organised and genuinely people-focused Reception & Reservations Manager to lead our front-of-house reception team.
As Reception & Reservations Manager, you will be the warm first impression of our restaurant. You will lead, inspire and develop the host team to ensure that every guest feels genuinely welcomed and every visit begins and ends with genuine hospitality. A key focus of the role is fostering a motivated, loyal reception team while optimising guest satisfaction through attentive, sharp, professional and seamless front-of-house operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Satisfaction
- Manage all aspects of the reception, ensuring smooth service and an outstanding guest journey from arrival to departure.
- Personally ensure that every welcome at the door is warm, friendly and sets the tone for Martino's signature hospitality.
- Build genuine rapport with guests, nurturing lasting relationships and expanding our loyal network.
- Oversee the reservations diary, carefully planning the dining room to maximise the guest experience.
- Proactively manage special requests, guest notes and profiles to personalise every visit.
- Be the main point of contact for Martino's regular guests, ensuring communication is prompt, warm and personal.
- Keep the restaurant website updated with current menus, opening hours and relevant information.
Team Leadership & Retention
- Train, develop and manage the host team to deliver smooth, sharp service and ensure every guest is looked after.
- Recruit, onboard and support new team members, creating an environment where people feel valued and inspired to stay and grow.
- Prepare and publish weekly rotas, balancing business needs with team wellbeing.
- Foster a culture of open communication, respect and positive energy within the reception team.
- Maintain clear communication between reception, kitchen, bar and floor teams to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor and respond promptly to reservations and enquiries via email and WhatsApp.
- Optimise the SevenRooms reservations system to maximise covers and revenue in partnership with the General Manager and senior management team.
