Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills, work in a dynamic setting, and be part of a friendly team committed to high standards of service and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers
- Take orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including organising stock and glassware
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with accuracy
- Replenish stock as needed and assist in restocking supplies during quieter periods
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly manner
- Assist with organising events or special promotions when required
- Manage multiple tasks effectively whilst maintaining high standards of service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in serving alcohol is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with diverse customers
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A responsible attitude towards health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or shifts as required by the business schedule
