About Us
Demonik House is the premium wellness café inside the Fight The Demon Performance Institute.
We combine speciality coffee, high-quality food, wellness and community to create a unique hospitality experience. As our café enters its next stage of growth, we’re looking for an experienced Head Barista who can lead our drinks operation, inspire the team and continually evolve our offering.
This is a leadership role for someone who wants to make a real impact, not just make great coffee.

The Role
As Head Barista, you will take ownership of the entire beverage operation at Demonik House.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining exceptional speciality coffee standards, leading the bar team, developing seasonal menus, analysing sales performance and helping grow the Demonik House brand through creativity, innovation and content creation.

Key Responsibilities
Coffee Excellence
* Prepare consistently outstanding speciality coffee.
* Dial in espresso and maintain coffee quality throughout the day.
* Produce excellent milk texturing and latte art.
* Ensure every drink meets Demonik House presentation standards.
* Maintain coffee equipment and ensure the bar operates efficiently.
Beverage Innovation
* Develop and refresh seasonal drinks menus.
* Create signature coffees, matcha drinks, iced beverages, wellness drinks and specials.
* Keep up to date with coffee trends and customer preferences.
* Regularly introduce exciting new menu items.
Commercial Performance
* Monitor which drinks sell well and identify slow-moving products.
* Analyse sales reports and recommend menu improvements.
* Work with management to optimise pricing, profitability and customer spending.
* Help improve the overall performance of the drinks menu through data-driven decisions.
Leadership
* Lead and support the barista team.
* Train and mentor new team members.
* Maintain consistency across all shifts.
* Lead by example with professionalism, positivity and attention to detail.
Technology & Systems
* Confident using POS systems such as Lightspeed (or similar).
* Use sales reports and basic analytics to support business decisions.
* Assist with stock control and inventory management.
* Comfortable learning and using new hospitality technology.
Content Creation & Brand Growth
We’re looking for someone who is creative and confident creating engaging content.
This may include:
* Coffee preparation videos
* Latte art content
* New drink launches
* Behind-the-scenes content
* Instagram Reels
* TikTok videos
* Seasonal promotions
* Product photography
* Helping grow the Demonik House online presence

What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Minimum 2 years’ speciality coffee experience.
* Excellent latte art and milk texturing skills.
* Experience dialling in commercial espresso machines.
* Strong understanding of coffee extraction.
* Previous experience in a busy café environment.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Leadership or supervisory experience.
* Reliable, organised and proactive.
Desirable
* Experience creating seasonal drinks menus.
* Experience analysing product performance and sales trends.
* Social media and content creation experience.
* Canva, photography or videography skills.
* Experience with Lightspeed or similar POS systems.
* Stock ordering and inventory management experience.
