Event Venue Booking Coordinator

Are you an experienced salesperson who enjoys building relationships, opening doors, and securing opportunities? We're looking for a confident and proactive Event Venue Booking Coordinator to join our team in Plymouth, helping secure event locations for live marketing campaigns, pop-up events, and brand activations across the UK.
This is a sales-focused role where you'll be responsible for identifying suitable venues, contacting decision-makers, and negotiating agreements to secure event space. You'll regularly engage with business owners, venue managers, landlords, property agents, and senior decision-makers, building strong relationships and creating new opportunities for our events team.
The Role
As an Event Venue Booking Coordinator, you'll play a key role in sourcing and securing locations for promotional campaigns and live events. Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and researching potential venues and event spaces
- Making outbound cold and warm sales calls to business owners, venue managers, landlords, and decision-makers
- Following up with warm leads and existing contacts to develop venue opportunities
- Building relationships with senior contacts and key stakeholders
- Presenting event opportunities and securing venue agreements
- Negotiating terms, availability, and booking arrangements
- Managing the booking process from initial contact through to confirmation
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
- Working closely with campaign and events teams to ensure successful event delivery
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales background who is confident speaking with people at all levels within an organisation.
Applicants must have:
- Previous sales experience (essential)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence engaging with business owners, directors, and senior decision-makers
- Experience making outbound cold and warm calls and generating opportunities
- Excellent negotiation and objection-handling abilities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, target-driven approach to work
Previous experience in venue booking, events, property, business development, telesales, or account management would be beneficial but is not essential.
