We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who can manage supplier relationships, purchasing activities, and material availability across our operations. You will play an important role in ensuring that the business receives the right products at the right quality, price, and delivery schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
Build and maintain professional relationships with approved suppliers. Review supplier performance, lead times, product quality, and service reliability.
Purchasing Operations:
Prepare and process purchase orders for paper products, packaging materials, office supplies, and operational requirements.
Price Negotiation:
Negotiate competitive pricing, delivery terms, minimum order quantities, and payment arrangements while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
Inventory Coordination:
Work with warehouse, sales, and operations teams to monitor stock levels and ensure essential materials are available when required.
Supplier Research:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, sustainability, delivery capability, and commercial suitability.
Order Tracking:
Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, delays, or product discrepancies.
Cost Control:
Review purchasing data and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality, service, or operational requirements.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate supplier records, purchase order details, pricing agreements, delivery documents, and procurement reports.
Compliance:
Ensure purchasing activities follow company procedures, contractual requirements, and relevant environmental and quality standards.
Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with finance, warehouse, customer service, and sales teams to resolve purchasing and supply-related issues.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, packaging, wholesale, or a related commercial environment.
Supplier Management:
Experience communicating with suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating terms, and monitoring supplier performance.
Commercial Awareness:
A good understanding of pricing, delivery schedules, stock requirements, and cost control.
Organisation:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders, deadlines, and supplier requests.
Communication Skills:
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. You should be comfortable working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Confident using Microsoft Excel, purchasing systems, inventory software, and standard business applications.
Problem Solving:
Able to respond calmly and effectively to delivery delays, stock shortages, pricing issues, and supplier concerns.
Education:
A qualification in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply are advantageous.

Pay: £3,111.00-£3,600.00 per month
