Part-Time Sales Assistant – Brand-New Self Storage Facility, Huddersfield

About the Role
As one of the first points of contact for our customers, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who visits or contacts us. You'll assist customers in finding the right storage solutions for their needs, answer enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the facility.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, is organised, and is confident communicating with people from all walks of life.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers and providing a friendly, professional service.
- Responding to enquiries in person, by telephone, and by email.
- Helping customers choose the most suitable storage solution.
- Processing bookings, completing customer paperwork, and handling payments.
- Maintaining high standards throughout the store, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Supporting the daily operation of the facility and assisting with general administrative tasks.
- Building positive relationships with both new and existing customers.
Working Hours
This is a part-time position offering flexible hours that can fit around other commitments. The role includes weekend working, plus potentially other shifts through the week depending on availability, with flexibility wherever possible.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with people.
- A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Positive, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and handling administrative tasks.
Previous experience in retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. We're much more interested in your attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to develop. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so you'll have everything you need to succeed.
