ROAMING CHEF / FOOD TRUCK CHEF-DRIVER
We’re looking for an experienced chef to join our team in a slightly different role.
You’ll work across The Forge Kitchen, Bertram’s Burgers and our Food Truck, giving you a genuinely varied working week, from busy restaurant services to festivals, corporate events and private bookings.
The role will include:
- Working as a chef across our sites
- Driving and operating our Food Truck
- Setting up and running food truck services and events
- Working alongside our Truck Manager and existing kitchen and events teams
- Helping with prep, loading and getting the truck event-ready
- Taking responsibility for the vehicle when driving it and making sure it gets safely to and from events
You’ll need to be an experienced, confident chef who enjoys variety, can work independently and is comfortable getting stuck in wherever needed.
You won’t be expected to manage the Food Truck operation. You’ll report to and work closely alongside our Truck Manager, who has overall responsibility for the truck and its events.
Driving is an important part of the role. You’ll either need to already hold the appropriate licence to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle (C1 or above), or have held a full driving licence for at least 5 years and be willing to undertake the necessary training to obtain your C1 licence.
For the right person, we’re happy to pay for that training.
This isn’t your standard chef job. One week you could be working in the restaurant; the next you could be taking the truck to a festival, corporate event or private party.
