About Us
Kids-Joy Nursery is an Ofsted-registered nursery in Croydon, providing high-quality early years care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We are a passionate, community-focused setting where every child is valued and every team member plays a vital role.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Senior Practitioner to be a strong, positive presence in the nursery. You will support the management team, lead by example on the floor, and help maintain the high standards Kids-Joy is committed to. We need someone who is reliable, proactive and takes genuine pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS framework
- Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong relationships with families
- Support and mentor junior staff members, setting a positive example at all times
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and learning journeys
- Assist with planning and contribute ideas to enhance the curriculum
- Support the Deputy Manager and Nursery Manager with room standards and daily routines
- Uphold safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times
- Maintain ratios and flag concerns to management promptly
Essential Requirements
- Full Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years nursery experience including a senior or mentoring role
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and current early years best practice
- Reliable, professional and a genuine team player
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Two professional references including most recent employer
