Role: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £95-£105 per day (Depending on experience and/or qualifications)
Contract: September 2026 – July 2027
About the role
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, caring, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive primary school community in Sheffield. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a Reception / Year 1 class, supporting children at a crucial stage in their early development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning, working closely with the class teacher to create a stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing environment. You will help to foster a love of learning, encourage curiosity and independence, and support each child in reaching their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
This role requires someone who is patient, adaptable, and committed to meeting the diverse needs of young learners. You will contribute to a positive classroom culture where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to engage, explore, and succeed.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
