SGH Civils & Surfacing are looking for an experienced and reliable Class 1 Low Loader Driver to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of a wide range of large construction and surfacing plant between our sites, depots and customers.
The role will involve transporting plant including:
- 5-ton Kubota excavators through to 22-ton excavators
- Dumpers
- Paving machines
- Rollers and other road surfacing equipment
- Various items of construction and civil engineering plant
Key Responsibilities
- Safely loading, securing, transporting and unloading heavy plant
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer checks
- Ensuring all loads are correctly secured and transported in accordance with legal requirements
- Delivering and collecting plant from construction and surfacing sites
- Completing relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
- Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with customers, site teams and colleagues
- Keeping the vehicle and equipment clean and in good working order
- Working safely and following company procedures at all times
