We are looking for a new Technical Services Manager to join our us at Mitie Montrose, for this client facing role, focusing on delivering the technical services elements of our contract.
- To provide a professional, comprehensive, engineering excellence across the contract portfolio, with regards to reactive & planned maintenance, adhoc works and proactive recommendations.
- Implement a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture on site.
- To be commercially and operationally responsible for the successful delivery of the department.
- Build a strong working relationship with both internal and external customers including sub-contractors to ensure that all services are delivered in a professional, timely and cost-effective manner.
- To successfully manage and lead the site team to ensure that a proficient service delivery is maintained at all times.
- To fully understand our clients expectations and be fully conversant with contract & specification documents, associated KPI's and ensure that services are organised to meet those expectations.
Main Duties
- Operating as the main point of contact for the customer, developing working relationships and to understand their business needs and requirements.
- Manage and co-ordinate MITIE's activities within the contract whilst ensuring the site team and all sub-contractors are managed and service levels are met in line with the contractual CI's, KPI's and Pl's
- To manage the Technical Services team members, including carrying out annual performance reviews, dealing with HR matters and developing a positive working environment.
- To analyse delivery performance and develop on-going contribution to the contract, controlling and minimising operational, financial and commercial risk.
- To work closely with the customer on all aspects of service delivery for all works.
- To drive the development of a professional and effective operational team, ensuring objectives are set, monitored and achieved and that all employees are appraised and have a personal development plan
- To build positive and productive working relationships with GSK, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and surpass expectations
- Ensure that all contractual CI's, KPI's & Pl's are continually met for the contract and that working towards achieving success is embedded across the teams
- To monitor and control supplier, sub-contractor and labour costs to ensure transparency & accuracy is achieved
- To stay abreast of opportunities for developing energy saving initiatives to support the customers' carbon reduction initiative.
- Do you experience in a similar field as a member of an engineering team, with strong knowledge of Health & Safety supported by IOSH / NEBOSH qualification?
- Experienced in (CMMS Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) such as MERPS & SAP?
- An approachable team player, able to work on own Initiative and with colleagues and clients alike, who works well under pressure and enjoys a varied role?
Based at our Montrose office, this role is Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with a rota for weekend cover.
