JOB OPPORTUNITY
Victoria Out of School Club, Penarth, is looking for a Deputy Manager / Playworker to join our warm and friendly after-school club team from September.
Essential:
- Level 3 Childcare or Playwork qualification.
- Aged 18+.
Desirable:
- First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection qualifications (training can be provided).
A DBS check will be required before employment begins.
Hours:
- Monday and Friday, 3.00pm–6.00pm (after-school club).
- We can be flexible with start and finish times, and there is the option of working four afternoons if preferred.
- Additional hours may also be available in our breakfast club (7.30am–9.00am).
Rate of pay:£14.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
The role involves:
- Working as part of a team to provide high-quality care for children aged 3–11 years.
- Preparing and serving a light snack tea.
- Planning and delivering a range of fun, stimulating and age-appropriate activities.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues through excellent communication.
