We are looking for a friendly, reliable and organised person to join our Schoolwear division during the busy summer period.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining customer service with the preparation and packing of school uniform orders. You will help customers visiting our Ilkeston showroom, assisting them with choosing the correct products and sizes and placing their orders through our website.
You will also help prepare completed orders for collection and delivery. This will include picking and packing garments, using our Evri system to produce order labels and carefully checking that every item is correct before it leaves the building.
Main responsibilities
- Welcoming and assisting customers visiting the showroom
- Helping customers select products and place orders through our website
- Packing schoolwear orders
- Producing and attaching customer and order labels
- Checking garment types, colours, sizes and quantities
- Making sure every completed order is accurate and presented correctly
- Keeping the customer and packing areas clean and organised
- Supporting the wider Schoolwear team during the busy back-to-school period
About you
You do not need previous schoolwear or retail experience, as training will be provided. However, you must be:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers
- Comfortable using a computer and navigating a website
- Accurate, organised and able to follow processes
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to maintain concentration when completing repetitive tasks
- Someone who takes pride in making sure work is completed correctly
- Available to start immediately and continue working until the end of August
This role may particularly suit a student who is home for the summer and looking for temporary work, although applications are welcomed from anyone with the right availability and approach.
