LIVE-IN CARETAKER – COMMERCIAL PROPERTY
We are currently recruiting dependable individuals to live on-site at vacant commercial properties and assist with the day-to-day care, security and monitoring of the premises.
Our properties vary in size, and some are large commercial buildings. This role would suit someone who is comfortable living independently on-site and taking responsibility for keeping an eye on the property.
The Role
As an on-site caretaker, your responsibilities will include:
- Living at the allocated commercial property throughout your placement
- Regularly checking the premises and making sure the property remains secure
- Keeping your designated living area and general areas reasonably clean and tidy
- Reporting maintenance problems, damage or anything unusual
- Providing access to approved contractors, surveyors or property representatives when instructed
- Reporting any suspicious activity or security concerns promptly
- Completing basic property checks and reports when required
- Following the property's rules and our caretaker procedures
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Dependable, sensible and trustworthy
- Comfortable living in a vacant commercial building
- Able to remain on-site on a full-time basis
- A good communicator and able to report issues promptly
- Legally entitled to work in the UK
- Comfortable with the fact that some of our properties are quite large
Experience in caretaking, property management, facilities or security is useful, but previous experience is not essential.
