Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, contributing to the overall presentation and safety of our facilities. A valid driving licence is advantageous for this position.
Hours of work is 10.30 - 12.30 Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all assigned spaces, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and steam cleaners safely and effectively
- Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll to ensure facilities are well-equipped
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities to the supervisor promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to meet their specific cleaning requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards clients and visitors
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Organised approach to tasks with the ability to prioritise effectively during busy periods
