**Job Description:**
As a Collection Driver, you will play a crucial role in our mission to collect second-hand goods from various shops across South East of England and transport them to our central hub in Thurrock, Essex. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an environmentally conscious team and make a positive impact on the community.
**Responsibilities:**
- Safely operate a van to visit multiple shops in London and the South East of England
- Collect donated second-hand goods from designated collection points.
- Unloading of items to a central hub
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of items onto the van.
- Maintain accurate records of collected items, including weights
- Uphold a high standard of customer service and professionalism when interacting with shop owners and staff.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any collection challenges or concerns.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid and clean driver's license (Category B).
- Experience in driving commercial vehicles, preferably vans.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Customer-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry items of varying sizes and weights.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.
**Desirable:**
- Knowledge of the London and the South East of England
