Driver Position Only: You must have a full UK driving licence and your own reliable vehicle. A company car may be available for short-term use, subject to availability.
The Role
As a Care Assistant / Support Worker, you will provide care and support to people in their own homes, helping them remain independent and enjoy the best quality of life possible.
Your duties may include:
- Supporting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
- Supporting clients with mobility and daily activities
- Prompting and administering medication in line with care plans and training
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with shopping, appointments and social activities
- Carrying out light household tasks such as laundry and cleaning
- Supporting people living with dementia, Alzheimer's and other cognitive conditions
- Responding appropriately to challenging situations and behaviours
- Driving clients to appointments or outings where required
- Recording care provided accurately and reporting any concerns
- Responding to emergencies appropriately and using first aid skills when necessary
Every client is different, so you will have the opportunity to build genuine relationships and provide care that is tailored to each person's individual needs.
No Previous Experience?
That's okay. Previous care experience is helpful, but it is not essential.
We provide full online and face-to-face training to help you understand the role and give you the confidence and skills needed to provide safe, high-quality care.

What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
- A caring and patient approach
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to keep accurate care records
- An understanding of person-centred care
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations
- Experience in care is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of dementia or Alzheimer's care is desirable
- First aid training is desirable
- Experience with medication support is desirable
- A full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
You must also be physically able to carry out the duties of the role safely, including supporting clients with mobility where required and following safe moving and handling procedures.
