Duties
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients as needed.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
- Support the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Assist with meal preparation for special events or large functions as required.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally within a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene procedures.
- Previous experience in a similar role such as Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
