Job Summary
We are a small electrical contracting business and are seeking an Approved Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive electrical experience and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings, including shop electrical refits, testing and inspection and knowledge of three phase systems.
- Read and interpret drawings, and determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with local codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Must be presentable, polite, work to high standards and good house keeping.
- Sometimes required to work away from home and be available for nightshifts.
- A full driving license is required as a work van and fuel card will be provided (for business and commuting use only).
- Uniform will be provided after trial period.
- Salary depended on skills.

Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Strong electrical experience with a solid understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Good knowledge of cable containment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- 18th Edition SJIB Gold card and qualified for two years.
- Must be confident in testing and inspection.
