Classic Car Bodyshop Apprentice
About the Role
Haynes Heritage Engineering is recognised as a centre of excellence for the restoration, preservation and maintenance of Veteran, Vintage and Classic automobiles, and are offering a rare apprenticeship opportunity within our bodyshop.
Working closely with our metal work and paint spraying technicians, you will be able to learn a full spectrum of body repair and restoration techniques, with a specialism in classic vehicles. Fabrication, welding, rust repair, modification, paint preparation, accident damage and paint spraying will all be covered during your time with us, alongside your college classroom learning.
We are ideally looking for someone who would like to eventually become a paint technician within our classic car workshop.
About You
A genuine passion for the classic vehicle industry is a must, and you will be given the opportunity to share this through your work on a huge range of classic vehicles, dating from 1930 onwards.
A desire to work in this environment in your future career, as well as a professional, trustworthy and respectful attitude is essential and the successful applicant will need to show why they think this apprenticeship is the perfect fit for them.
An eagerness to learn and a can-do attitude will need to be displayed at all times. Manual dexterity and a natural aptitude for the work will be assessed by completion of a short competency test.

Location Haynes Heritage Engineering is based in Sparkford, Somerset BA22 7LH, just minutes off the A303, the main trunk road to the South West.
