Service Advisor – Refresh Automotive
Reading, Berkshire | Full Time | Monday–Friday
Refresh Automotive is looking for a confident, friendly and organised Service Advisor to join our team on Richfield Avenue in Reading.
We’re a busy and growing independent garage, and you’ll be joining a highly experienced team with a huge amount of knowledge behind them.
The Role
You’ll be one of the main points of contact between our customers and the workshop, making sure customers are kept informed and the day runs smoothly.
Your role will include:
- Welcoming customers and handling enquiries
- Booking vehicles into the workshop
- Discussing faults and customer requirements
- Keeping customers updated throughout the day
- Explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
- Preparing estimates and gaining authorisation for work
- Liaising closely with technicians and the workshop team
- Managing vehicle collections and payments
- General service reception administration
Who We're Looking For
Previous motor trade experience is essential.
You don't necessarily need to have worked as a Service Advisor before, but you must have enough automotive knowledge and motor trade experience to understand what you're talking about when speaking with customers and technicians.
Previous Service Advisor experience would be a definite advantage.
Just as importantly, we're looking for someone with confidence and personality.
You should be:
- Confident dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Comfortable discussing vehicles, servicing and repairs
- Friendly, professional and approachable
- Organised and able to work in a busy environment
- Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions
- A strong communicator
- A genuine team player
You will have the support of a very experienced workshop and front of house team, but we are looking for someone who can quickly become an important part of the business.
Working at Refresh Automotive
Monday to Friday – no weekends.
Based at our workshop on Richfield Avenue, Reading.

Pay: From £34,000.00 per year
