The future of Emergency Care in Dorset remains exciting, with a major new Emergency site being created in Bournemouth for 2025, which will see it being one of the biggest Emergency Departments on the South Coast. The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, be at the forefront of this development with our staff being the cornerstone of the new nursing team in the future. Within this department there will be a 7 bedded Children's emergency and UTC.
This advert to to recruit enthusiastic team members to join the pre-existing Children Emergency Nursing team to work initially in Poole Emergency Department and once services transfer move across to the new BEACH building based in Bournemouth.
T his role requires: Diploma in Children’s Nursing/Degree in Children's Nursing or Dual award degree (adult and children) and an active UK NMC registration
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital

There is a planned move for this service anticipated during Spring 2027 , when this role and base of work will relocate to Bournemouth Site . Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder’s home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
